When we make a cross at HSK we are trying to imporve the breed. I've been running this strain of Walkers for over 40 years and the goal is to get better, constantly chasing perfection. All started dogs are born and raised here and their training begins the day they arrive. I breed for myself and generally keep a pair of pups from each litter. They are whelped on the place, spend the first 4-11 months of their puppyhood running lose, and they are properly socialized and handled on lead and in the kennel. By the time they are six months they know what they were born to do and they are doing it regularly.

Most of these pups are running and treeing their own coon before they are 10 months old. Because I do not keep a large number of dogs, any pups not kept for the future of the kennel are sold as started dogs, and have been handled and hunted regularly. Started dog prices range from $750 to $2,500 depending on breeding, experience, and whether or not they have earned any titles in UKC or PKC.

Ditch really seems to favor her momma in looks and disposition. She is a very intelligent and curious pup. Bold, confident, and always approaches things head up. She is going to be an above average size female, but is really well put together and framed for speed. She has been treeing squirels since she was 5 months old and has done exceptional work on several morning coons. She will be a quick strike dog, but will use her mouth sparingly on track after getting struck in. She is a chop mouth tree dog. I'm looking forward to seeing her progress through the initial stages of training and conditioning. Ditch was born 11/13/2024.

Torchy really seems to favor her momma in disposition and her daddy is looks. She is a very independent pup. Bold, confident, and ready to dive in at all times. She is going to be an above average size female, but is really well put together and framed for power. She has bee exceptionally loud since she was able to use her mouth and continues to impress. She treed her first wild raccoon at the early age of 5.5 months on the Pedernales River. I'm looking forward to seeing her progress through the initial stages of training and conditioning. Torchy was born 12/27/2024.
